Badger Peabody & Smith Blog

Winter blankets New Hampshire's beautiful landscape, and our seasoned real estate agents at Badger Peabody & Smith Realty know how crucial it is to keep homes warm and efficient during the chilly season. We've put together a list of smart tech solutions to help you turn your house into a snug winter retreat while boosting energy savings.

• Smart Thermostats: The Cornerstone of Winter Comfort
Smart thermostats today are causing a revolution in how we manage home heating. These clever gadgets get to know your routine and likes, tweaking temperatures on their own to make sure you're comfy while saving energy. With lots of models, you can change your home's temperature from anywhere using your phone, so you'll always come back to a warm house. Cool features like heating specific areas let you warm up just the rooms you're using, which could cut your heating bills by up to 20 percent in the winter.

January 31, 2025 from 6-9pm
Fundraising event with proceeds being donated to
The American Red Cross - California Wildfire Relief

As we enter a new year, we want to remember the communities in need and the challenges they continue to face. One such community is in California, where wildfires have devastated homes, businesses, and entire ecosystems. While recovery efforts are well underway, the road to rebuilding is long and fraught with challenges. That's why Jackie Elliott and Missy Sullivan, Realtors® in our area are coming together with the Newfound Lake Inn to support this critical cause, with all proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross - California Wildfire Relief Fund.

The American Red Cross California Wildfire Relief Fund ensures that donations are directly used to provide essential services such as:

• Emergency shelter and housing support
• Food, water, and basic supplies
• Long-term recovery assistance for families and individuals
• Mental health and emotional support services
