FRANCONIA, NH — During travels throughout North America and around the world, Vespar Duffy and her husband have always taken the time to explore the local architecture and real estate market.

"With my interest in style and design, including architectural and interior design for homes, real estate has always been a significant interest of mine," says Duffy, who recently joined Badger Peabody & Smith Realty as a sales agent in their Franconia office. "Location plays a big part in real estate, but I've always felt that a home's design is also essential to a compelling property and a satisfied client, so I'm very excited to share my knowledge with our buyers and sellers."

Born in Littleton, Duffy grew up in Jefferson and Gorham, has lived in the Mount Washington Valley and was the owner/operator of a hair salon/spa in North Conway for many years. Now residing in Franconia with her husband, Duffy says she looks forward to helping clients find their dream home.

Duffy notes that her experience as a cosmetologist and business owner has instilled in her "an ideal of being driven, listening to my clients' wants and needs and doing whatever I can to make them happy."
Outside the office, Duffy enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and playing golf.

"We are happy to welcome Vespar to our Badger Peabody & Smith team," says Andy Smith, Badger Peabody & Smith Realty President and CEO. "Her extensive customer service experience, understanding of architecture and design, and in-depth knowledge of the greater Franconia-Littleton region are invaluable. He graduated cum laude from George Washington University in Washington DC, in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a Minor in Business Administration.

Badger began working at the North Conway real estate office as support staff and recently transitioned to the position of sales associate.

Philip LaMoreaux Joins Badger Peabody & Smith Realty

PLYMOUTH, NH — Twenty years of experience in building, remodeling and improving the energy efficiency of New Hampshire homes are just some of the skills that Philip LaMoreaux brings to Badger Peabody & Smith Realty as a sales associate in its Plymouth office.

Additionally, LaMoreaux earned a Building Analyst certification through the Building Performance Institute enabling him to perform whole house assessments to identify problems and craft solutions.

The Plymouth resident grew up in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. It's a region, he says, that shares many of the same demographics and economic conditions as central and northern New Hampshire, including a strong second home market and thriving tourism economy that are supported by the region's own unique natural features.

"I have a good understanding of the existing housing market in the state," he notes, "including its unique aspects. My life experience informs my understanding of rural living and of our region. It is my goal to use this experience to guide buyers and sellers."

A strong advocate of civic involvement, LaMoreaux has immersed himself in the Plymouth community during the last eight years, serving on the local school board and the Plymouth Planning Board. He coaches youth lacrosse and enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain biking, curling, and lake time with his family.

"We are delighted to welcome Philip to our team," says Andy Smith, Badger Peabody & Smith Realty President and CEO. "His strong background in the housing industry and his in-depth knowledge of the Plymouth region are invaluable qualities that will benefit our buyers and sellers."

A strong work ethic and a zest for life are qualities that define Zachary Hawkins

The Lisbon Regional School graduate earned his undergrad degree at Keene State College and completed his Master's work at Plymouth State University. After travelling around the country for months, he came to the conclusion that "I just love it here" and returned to the White Mountains region. He has joined Badger Peabody & Smith Realty as a sales associate in the Littleton office.

Zach notes that hard work is normal for him, always working at several jobs while juggling extracurricular activities and community involvement. As a full time educator in 2018, Hawkins worked in both hospitality and as a carpenter during the summer months while earning his real estate license.

"Everything just seemed to click," he says. "The combination of my knowledge, experience, and skill set just came together naturally, and I knew real estate was for me."

Since late 2018, Zach has represented clients in over 100 transactions and in $21 million dollars worth of real estate. He has sold single-family homes, assisted with vetting raw land for a new build, worked with multi-family investors, and assisted second homeowners looking to rent their property for income while they are not using it.

"Real estate forces me to continuously grow," he says. "No transaction is the same, and this competitive market demands innovation to be successful. I am a believer in real estate. I have invested in several apartment buildings myself and have opened a small property maintenance company."

"We are so pleased that Zach has joined our team," says Andy Smith, Badger Peabody & Smith Realty President and CEO. "Zach's wide-ranging skills and especially his experience as a teacher translate so well to real estate because we work to help educate buyers and sellers about the process and help guide them through the transaction. "
