FRANCONIA, NH - As a US Army spouse, Shemariah Nelson has lived in various locales around the country with her husband, a member of the US Army Ranger and Command Sergent Major, and their two sons, ages 12 and 14.

When her husband retired the family headed north from their posting in Fayetteville, NC to Littleton, her husband's hometown where they now reside.

Initially joining Badger Peabody & Smith Realty in the company's Littleton office in 2023, she has recently taken a position as a commercial broker at their Franconia office and is licensed in both New Hampshire and Vermont.

"I really enjoy new challenges and experiences, and I'm excited to bring my two decades of experience in the real estate industry to this new position to help my clients achieve their goals," she says.

Nelson's professional experience includes early work in title & escrow, that evolved into launching a national mortgage processing firm and ultimately led her into the world of commercial real estate, where she worked with a company focused on multifamily financing and sales in Fayetteville, NC. She was able to transfer her North Carolina brokerage license to New Hampshire when she joined Badger Peabody & Smith Realty.

"At the Littleton office I was able to use my real estate and business background to streamline and refine the technology the company uses for its residential services," she says. "In addition to working with customers and clients in the commercial department, I'll be refining and expanding the company's technology on the commercial side, which will benefit our business brokerage and commercial clients at all of our offices."

Outside of her career and family Nelson, who goes by the nickname Shem, volunteers on the board of the Mt. Eustis Ski Hill in Littleton where her kids ski and her husband grew up skiing.
