Many of our agents were pleased to participate in the Lakes Region Board of Realtors, Realtor® Give Back Day on May 2, 2024.

This event is sponsored by the Lakes Region Board of Realtors® and provided an opportunity for our agents, along with agents from other firms and affiliated members of the Lakes Region Board of Realtors® to gather together to participate in some community service projects in the communities they live and work in.

This year, there were a number of projects including: cleaning and organizing storage areas at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center, painting a building on White Oak Pond in Holderness, helping clean up trails with PRKR Mountain Biking Trails in Littleton, and helping prep the outside at the Boys and Girls Club of the North Country for the summer season.

Jackie Elliott from our Holderness office organized the efforts in that town. Jackie said, "We worked at a locaton at White Oak Pond and as a team painted a community building that gets used during the summer." She added, "There was a total of six of us that helped: Badger Peabody & Smith agents Paty Ciotto, Jerrod Mitchell, Eric Turchon, myself and two affiliated members of the Lakes Region Board of Realtors®, Marcy Dembiec from Meredith Village Savings Bank and Richard Codair from Radius Financial Group."

Missy Sullivan of the Plymouth office headed up the organization effort for that town. Missy said, "We enjoyed helping at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center. They have a large storage barn that we helped organize all of the donated items like wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and more. We also cleaned and helped organize their supply closets and maintenance closet. We also helped clean up the front of the center, cleaning the building, weeded the gardens, cleaned the outside windows, swept and brought out their summer furniture for the seniors to enjoy." Missy added, "It was so rewarding, Gail and her team from the Senior Center were great. Everyone was so thankful and all of the seniors that were coming in for lunch thanked us. We look forward to doing it again next year."

The team who helped at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center was made up of Richard and Tara Gowen of EXP Realty, Debbi Ward of Keller Williams Coastal and Lakes & Mountains Realty, Erin Hershey, Aaron Woods & Missy Sullivan of Badger Peabody & Smith Realty, Lakes Region Board Affiliated members included Ann Dow & Kirstie Iadonisi from Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank, Debbi Lurvey from Summit Title & Anna Kenerson from Red Door Title.

Nikki Barrett headed up the efforts for the Northern New Hampshire locations - PRKR Mountain Bike Trails in Littleton and the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country in Lisbon. Nikki said, "We had a great group working at both locations. Lots of trail clearing at PRKR Mountain with our agents, Jason Cape, Tiffany Howard, Maggie Jones, Zack Hawkins, Fran Matott and Barbi Dickison. Lakes Region Board Affiliate members who helped included Janet Costa & Chad Stearns from Mascoma Bank and Teresa Cormier from Passumpsic Bank."

At the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country helpers included Matthew Blier from Coldwell Banker Realty in Gilford, Badger Peabody & Smith agents Vespar Duffy & Nikki Barrett. Lakes Region Board Affiliate members who helped included Heidi Gwynn from Summit Title Services, Tina Lunderville & Renee Powers from Passumpsic Bank.

According to the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country Executive Director Sandy Brackett, "What an incredible group of volunteers! In less than two hours, they spread nearly five yards of mulch, weeded our garden beds, scrubbed are outdoor tables, and still maintained a smile!"
