As one story ends another begins. David & Nancy Ernsberger have owned and operated the popular gift shop "The Nest" for five years. Dave, who has been instrumental in a number of initiatives in Littleton, decided it was time for him to step back to focus on his projects and to spend more time with his family and closed the store this past September.
Emshika Alberini, owner of Chang Thai restaurant, as well as the building occupied by Little Village Toy & Bookstore, Blue Jay Café, The League of NH Craftsmen and One Stitch, Two Stitch, purchased the building at 97 Main Street last Friday. Her plans for the building have been a closely guarded secret, b... [caption id="attachment_4497" align="alignright" width="640"]

An exterior shot of the Franconia Village Store[/caption]
The iconic Franconia Village Store changed ownership yesterday (Wednesday, March 22nd)! After over 40 years of stewardship under the Heath family, the popular gathering place in downtown Franconia, NH sold to Suhit "Bob" Patel and his partners.

While he is not expecting to make any major changes to the store there will be some expansion of the deli and the store will eventually offer fresh meats. Bob told me, "This has worked quite well for us in Bethlehem and we are looking forward to keeping many of the same traditions of the Franconia Village Store with some added features."
Steve Heath, the former owner, is...
