The weather has been hot lately, with no end (or rain) in sight. On one hand, it's a nice break from the early summer rainfall we were seeing through June and most of July, with thunderstorms rolling through every single weekend, but it feels a little unbearable to exist in temperatures hitting over 90 degrees every day. Recently, I met someone who relocated to the area from Boston. She was younger than me; maybe in her mid-twenties. A few years back, I looked into replacing my house's foundation. From my understanding of the history of my house, the foundation was repaired at some point in the 1980s. Otherwise, it's mostly in its original form—which is very, very old.
