NORTH CONWAY, NH — Badger Peabody & Smith Realty's Maine Team group raised and donated $3,633 to support Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Fryeburg, Maine. This effort surpassed the previous year by almost $1200 more than last year's fundraiser and helped to provide much-needed funds but also to raise awareness about the shelter's vital role in caring for abandoned and neglected animals.

The fundraiser was comprised of two standout events: a Pet Photo Contest and a Kitten Shower.

Pet owners were invited to showcase their beloved pets in the Pet Photo Contest. Each vote, helped bring the community together and raised additional funds for the shelter.

Brenda Lamanda & her cat Nova took first place in the "people's choice" division with an irresistible photo of Nova in her cat bed. Wendy Holmes claimed second place with a snapshot of her Louie.

In the juried photo division, first place went to John Graves and his dog Roscoe. Second place was won by Donna Woodward and her cats, Mac and Cheez.

Joan McBurnie, Executive Director of Harvest Hills Animal Shelter said, "What a great group of professionals to work with. These events allowed us to highlight the pets in our lives and raise much-needed funds and supplies for the shelter." said McBurnie.

The Kitten Shower was another crowd favorite. The event gathered essential supplies to support the shelter's daily operations, ensuring that kittens in need are cared for while awaiting adoption or foster homes. A large number of supplies were donated, ensuring a successful event.

The Maine Team at Badger Peabody & Smith Realty created and executed these fundraising efforts. The Maine Team of REALTORS® also includes Austin Hale, Bernadette Donohue, Jeana Hale-Dewitt, Kevin Killourie, Kathleen Sullivan Head, Tara Peirce, Rick Swasey & Brendan Battenfelder, Vice President of Sales. Each member of the team played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of these events.

No successful event is complete without the support of local businesses. This year, sponsors included: For Your Paws Only, PetSmart, Pet Rendezvous & Badger Peabody & Smith Realty. Their contributions underscored the power of partnerships between local businesses, charitable organizations and volunteerism in making a tangible difference for causes that matter.
