20160322_101049Looking at my desk I have a number of things there that are dear to my heart. From my owl coffee cup given to me by my favorite Aunt, a bamboo plant that was a gift from a co-worker for passing my real estate test, to pictures of my family. But my favorite thing on my desk is not a thing but a who. Meet Evan. Every day I get to bring this awesome little guy to work with me. He is the newest addition to the Peabody & Smith family and a hit with all the ladies. Joy & I even joke about how long I will be in the office by the number of diapers we have in the bag. For example: five- I'm here for while or 2- I'm only staying for an hour. scamThe Federal Trade Commission and the National Association of Realtors just released a warning to consumers (whether they are sellers or buyers) about a very sophisticated scam operation that involves a legitimate looking email from your agent or title company and a "change in wiring instructions" that may be received just days before closing. Having the ability to close my door and meet with or speak to clients is pretty amazing, I must say! My office is my own private space and I have it filled with my own personal things that mean a great deal to me. My barn board walls are covered with various Squam Lake maps and a smaller version of the entire lakes region. I've been enamored with maps since a young age so I'm happy to be surrounded by them on a daily basis. mountain biking littleton nhWe can't deny that New Hampshire is a beautiful state. And the wonderful town of Littleton is close to some of the most wonderful spots to go hiking or mountain biking in the country. The many options include trails and parks that range from easy rides at Maidstone State Park or Stillwater State Park, both in Vermont, to the arduous and challenging Tucker's Trail in nearby Franconia. There are also easier trails closer to Littleton, such as the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail, which while not technically a mountain bike trail is a fun ride.
