The generosity of the holiday season is one of the best feelings of the season. Truly feeling the joy of giving. While we cherish that feeling within our families, here at Peabody & Smith, we feel we have a real work family, a family who enjoys gathering together and doing something to help someone else. This year was no exception.
Agents and staff gathered together and participated in at least two different giving programs in the communities we serve.

Real progress is happening and things are taking shape at 100 Beechwood Drive in Twin Mountain, NH. I often will post pictures to social media from different locations – by the lake, in the mountains with the caption "the view from my office today". And let me just say every time I come to this home site I am awestruck with the beauty. This has to be quite simply one of the most beautiful locations in the North Country. Almost the entire view is all National Forest so it will be preserved forever.

The New Woodshed Restaurant Evokes a Lakes Region Landmark
On Thanksgiving night on November 28, 2013, disaster struck in the small Lakes Region town of Moultonborough, New Hampshire. About one hour after the last employee left The Woodshed, a favorite local restaurant and bar, fire broke out in the 19th century farmhouse. The beloved landmark restaurant, in business since 1979, burned to the ground.
A popular dining venue, The Woodshed's demise was lamented by locals and visitors alike. Some said that it felt like a piece of the town was destroyed, while others wondered where they would go to meet family and friends.
