What have you enjoyed most about the Central NH area?
Our home is located in the foothills of the White Mountains. We have enjoyed the natural beauty of the area and excellent access to a wide variety of outdoor activities.
How long have you lived in your home at 11 Loft Circle and what are some of the special features about the home that you have enjoyed?
We have lived in our home for 5 1/2 years. We have really enjoyed the spaciousness of the interior and the amazing Mountain Views. It is a great place to entertain and offer overnight guests a comfortable place to sleep with their own private en suite bathroom. The oversized garage and the stand alone carriage house allow plenty of room for all of our toys and hobbies.
What did you look forward to the most when you came home?
We were looking for and found a quiet peaceful neighborhood and the recreation that the area offers.
At this time, your home is on the market and is for sale with Badger Peabody & Smith Realty. You must feel it is the right time to move to your next living situation or go on to your next life adventure. What made you decide to sell?
Very unexpectedly, our son and daughter-in-law relocated back to the seacoast area of New Hampshire and we wanted to be closer to them.
Within your community, where do you shop and dine? Why do you enjoy these places?
We love to shop at Market Basket for groceries. They have everything you need for the kitchen. The nearby town of Plymouth offers a wide variety of shopping from quaint stores to unique locally owned restaurants. It is a refreshing change of pace from big box stores and chain restaurants. Closer to home, the Little Red Schoolhouse (seasonal) and the Covered Bridge Farm Table are fantastic!
What cultural events and other types of seasonal activities can you recommend to people coming into the community?
The Flying Monkey performance house offers many types of live music, movies and other entertainment. It is a must see and do. The annual Christmas Parade is a fun local tradition and there are many holiday events hosted by Plymouth State University. Ice Castles in Lincoln is a fun winter activity for the whole family. Winter skiing and tubing are very close by with Tenney Mountain, Loon Mountain, Cannon Mountain and Waterville Valley.
What events have brought you the most pleasure while you've been here?
We have enjoyed hosting our friends and extended family for holidays and vacations and showing them all the sites.
Do you have any tips that new people coming into the community might find helpful?
Our neighborhood is a very close knit welcoming community with diverse interests. There are numerous hiking and snowmobile trails directly accessible from the house. The neighbors will be happy to show where they are located. Be sure to check out nearby pristine Stinson Lake for boating, kayaking and fishing (be sure to check out the waterfall on the way). Kayaking and swimming in the Pemigewasset River offers refreshing summer fun. Check out curling lessons at Plymouth State's ice arena, it is super fun!
