Littleton, NH - Badger Peabody & Smith Realty is proud to continue its annual tradition of supporting AHEAD (Affordable Housing Education and Development) through a unique, client and customer driven giving program that has benefited communities across northern New Hampshire for more than two decades.

Throughout the year, the buyers and sellers of properties in New Hampshire working with Badger Peabody & Smith Realty agreed to have their escrow funds placed in an interest-bearing account, with 100% of the interest going to AHEAD. All interest generated is donated directly to AHEAD to support its ongoing housing, counseling, and financial literacy initiatives. At the end of each year, Badger Peabody & Smith Realty matches the total interest earned, doubling the overall donation and strengthening the impact of the donation. This year's contribution totals $4,431.26.

The check was formally presented by Chrissy Smith, President & Chief Marketing Officer of Badger Peabody & Smith Realty, to Harrison Kanzler, Executive Director of AHEAD, who accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.

"We are honored to continue this annual commitment," said Smith. "AHEAD's work is essential to supporting our community, expanding access to housing, and helping residents build strong financial futures."

Kanzler expressed his appreciation, noting that this support plays an important role in strengthening AHEAD's educational programs, housing counseling, and efforts to address the growing need for affordable housing in the region. Through the efforts of AHEAD, area real estate agents and area lending institutions, many area buyers have used the AHEAD Pathways to Homeownership program this past year, creating strong opportunities for home ownership.

Founded in 1991, AHEAD (Affordable Housing Education and Development) is a community‑based nonprofit dedicated to promoting safe, quality, affordable housing and providing the education needed to help individuals and families build financial stability. AHEAD serves residents throughout northern New Hampshire with a wide range of services, including: development and management of affordable rental housing, homebuyer education workshops, budgeting and financial literacy classes, counseling services for credit, pre‑purchase guidance, and foreclosure prevention and programs aimed at fighting homelessness and breaking cycles of generational poverty.
