Spring Hiking Guide: Waterfalls of the White Mountains
Between warmer temperatures and spring's wet weather, White Mountain's many waterfalls are at their most impressive during this time of year. Our real estate agents often visit these places for some much-needed downtime after work. Here are some of the waterfall locations near our Plymouth homes for sale that they find themselves coming back to year after year.
- Ripley Falls - Crawford Notch State Park, Bartlett, NH 03812
Ripley Falls offers a unique look at how waterfalls behave when they have few drops to interrupt their flow. Parts of this 100-foot landmark near our Bartlett homes for sale are closer to water slides than true falls, providing exciting opportunities to get close to the rushing water on the surrounding cliff face. You can reach it in a little more than 15 minutes, starting at the Ethan Pond trailhead in Crawford Notch. This short path can be tricky for inexperienced hikers due to the steep and rocky terrain, so make sure you have some sturdy footwear on to handle the climb.
