Or if you want to learn about the history and lore of Lake Winnipesaukee, try the narrated scenic tours—or the brand new Haunted Winnipesaukee tour, beginning Thursdays in July and August, which highlights some of the area's spooky history and unexplained phenomena. 2. Weirs Beach - 201 Lakeside Ave., Laconia, NH 03246
   Weirs Beach has great swimming, boating, fishing, and scuba diving—but it also has much more. There are bumper cars and go-karts; golf and mini-golf; and a variety of great places to eat, drink, and have fun. There are live concerts on the Boardwalk, nightly fireworks, and other events throughout the summer. The area also has a rich history that can be explored, dating back to the colonial era. It's an amazing place with fun adventures for adults, kids, and families alike.
   
   
3. Gunstock Adventure Park - 719 Cherry Valley Rd., Gilford, NH 03249
   There's no better way to see Lake Winnipesaukee than from the air. That's why Gunstock Adventure Park offers zipline tours all summer. One of the longest zipline tours in the U.S., it covers 1.6 miles and lasts about an hour and a half. You can even rent a Go Pro to capture video of the tour and share it with your friends. It's one of the most thrilling ways to experience the area.
   
   
4. Winni Marine - 96 Channel Ln., Laconia, NH 03246
   If you like boating, you'll want to check out Winni Marine. With locations at both Lake Winnipesaukee and the nearby Lake Winnisquam, they have a variety of boats and boating equipment of all different types and brands available for either sale or rent. Then when the season's done, they can store your boat for the winter. They also have expert mechanics to service or repair your boat, so you can use it to explore the lake for many summers to come.
   
   
5. Castle in the Clouds - 455 Old Mountain Rd., Moultonborough, NH 03254
   This beautiful and historic mountaintop estate is great for private events, but Castle in the Clouds also hosts a number of tours and other public events throughout the summer. Located near Moultonborough homes for sale, there are tours of the house, hiking tours of the grounds, historic tours, and even tours on horseback. They also host regular yoga classes, as well as children's storytelling events sponsored by the local library, plus concerts, art exhibits, astronomy events, a photography contest, and a variety of other events for all different tastes.
