A Chat With Our Home Seller in Ashland, NH

We are pleased to bring a new feature to our blog, a chat with one of our current sellers in
Ashland, NH. Our homeowners at
2 Short Street in Ashland have owned their home for many years, and now offer this completely renovated Victorian house to you.
To get a sense of what it is like to live in Ashland, we asked a few questions:
P&S: At this time, you feel the time is right to leave the beautiful Grafton County and Ashland community. What led you to this decision?
Seller: I would like to relocate to be closer to my family.
P&S: Where do you shop and dine in Central New Hampshire, and why do you enjoy those places?
Seller: I enjoy shopping at all the Main Street shops from
Ashland to
Plymouth, and I enjoy dining at the
Ashland Common Man. I love the Common Man in Ashland because everyone is so friendly and always greets you with a smile!
P&S: What did you look forward to the most when you came to your home in Ashland?
Seller: I love hearing the sound of the train whistle from my house and seeing the white church steeple from the kitchen. As well as the mountain views from the bedrooms.
P&S: What cultural events and other types of events can you recommend to people coming into the community?
Seller: They do a movie in the park for the kids (within walking distance from the house). The beach is 1 mile away. There is a choice of 3 nearby golf courses in the area –
Owl's Nest,
Waukewan Golf Club, and the White Mountain Country Club. Plus there are 2 event centers in Plymouth,
Silver Center for the Arts and
The Flying Monkey - just 5+ miles away.
P&S: What events brought you the most pleasure?
Seller: I have enjoyed going to Plymouth to see The Christmas Carol.
P&S: What tips would you give to new people coming into the community?
Seller: Get involved with the town, and attend Town Meetings.
P&S: What were the favorite features of your home? What did you enjoy the most?
Seller: The original woodwork! I love the character that only comes from a historical property charm.
