All in all, the real estate market this year has improved and we are optimistic for 2011. In real estate, there is a saying that "all real estate is local". While the national headlines talk about the real estate market as a whole, it's a lot like the weather – you see different weather scenarios all over the country, but what you really want is the forecast in your area. Currently we are seeing modest increases in the number of homes sold in Grafton County, and we notice an increase in the average sales price. While the days a house was on the market has increased a bit in both Coos and Grafton, but really not by a huge degree. Homes that come onto the market priced correctly are finding new owners. It's so rare that I carry change on me, or even in the car, and quite often I struggle trying to find some when I need to feed a parking meter! Now in Littleton, you can look for change if you want, or you can use a little pre-paid parking card that you slide in the meter like a credit card. Very handy.
