So it was my turn this week to talk about my desk and my favorite things in my office, we are going to change it up a bit.  Instead we are going to talk about the dichotomy of the work office, the ying/yang of what an office really looks like and how its occupant views their space. I have an overhead light which I took the bulbs out of, I don't like the hum of fluorescent lights.  A bonus is I need to leave at 4:30 in the winter since it is dark outside.Â...

20160322_101049Looking at my desk I have a number of things there that are dear to my heart. From my owl coffee cup given to me by my favorite Aunt, a bamboo plant that was a gift from a co-worker for passing my real estate test, to pictures of my family. But my favorite thing on my desk is not a thing but a who. Meet Evan. Every day I get to bring this awesome little guy to work with me. jerrod mitchelOne of the best things about working in the Holderness Office is that we have our own private offices! Having the ability to close my door and meet with or speak to clients is pretty amazing, I must say! My office is my own private space and I have it filled with my own personal things that mean a great deal to me. My barn board walls are covered with various Squam Lake maps and a smaller version of the entire lakes region. I've been enamored with maps since a young age so I'm happy to be surrounded by them on a daily basis. To my back is a large black & white poster of my grandparents traveling on a steam boat that my grandfather built with his own two hands in 1952. I like...
