Sometimes in real estate, agents and staff take on a number of different roles. Sometimes they take on the role of counselor, cleaner, stager, photographer, chauffeur – the list can go on and on – and we don't mind! But most recently, in our Franconia office, it took an agent and 2 staff members and they took on a new role – that of Animal Rescuer!

It's been a busy month in our commercial department at Peabody & Smith Realty. We've helped to transfer ownership of a fine downtown Littleton, NH Inn and Restaurant (The Beal House) and we also worked to help one of our local manufacturing firms purchase a new larger location for their growing needs. We thought we'd ask some of our agents some common real estate questions that buyers have, and get their answers. Beth Horan from our Franconia office answered this home buyer question:

We thought we'd ask some of our agents some common real estate questions that buyers have, and get their answers. Nikki Barrett from our Littleton office answered the first home buyer question:

common questions   How long does it take to buy a home? Nikki Barrett: Once you have found a home and are under contract with the seller to purchase that home, it is about 60-75 days from that point until you close on the home and can move in! jerry loveThe leaves have pretty much fallen from the maples and birches, the frost is on the pumpkin, and the smell of wood stove smoke is in the air…can it be that winter is not far behind? Wild turkeys are making their annual pilgrimage to my garden to find the leftover winter rye seeds that have not yet geminated, and the deer know it's plenty safe to stand in the garden and eat the leftover squash or clean up the "drops" from the 100 year old apple tree. I've been trying my darnedest to keep the red squirrels out of my barn, and chase the mice out of the carriage house…but this is just what you do in preparation for the winter season around here. My root cellar is full of potatoes and carrots, squash and onions, and enough home canned tomatoes and bean...
