Lighting Trends for Fall and Winter 2026
When it starts to get colder outside, we feel drawn to making the home space as warm as possible, even in aesthetic and decor. To combat the darker months and create home spaces that emphasize a cozy hygge-inspired atmosphere, remembering to keep that theme aligned with the interior lighting can make all the difference.
Here are some of the best trends in home lighting for fall and winter 2026.
Layered low light: This year we are moving away from the 'big light' expansive lumination and focusing on smaller pockets of light spread out over space that are less bright and perhaps have dimming settings overhead to adjust the light layers in a dynamic way. This allows for enough light to function well at home but it's ambient, warm in tone and spread out in the places you need light most.
