The Woodlands at Mountain View Farms: A New Community Taking Shape in Plymouth, NH | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtyWhat began as an idea 18 plus months ago is starting to come to fruition—The Woodlands at Mountain View Farms. This is a new community in the heart of the Lakes Region in Plymouth, NH.

The Woodlands at Mountain View Farms was established off Fairgrounds Road in Plymouth. BYCO, owned by Harry Blackey and Dale Blackey, recognized the need for additional homes in a comfortable price range, something that would work for workforce housing and first-time homebuyers.

What began as an idea for 11 homes, ranging from 910 to 1,448 square feet and available to all, quickly took shape. Following the success of Mountain View Farms, BYCO partnered with Ritz-Craft Homes, a Pennsylvania-based company, to design well-crafted homes for a landscaped cul-de-sac community off Crescent Street.

The plan included one- to four-bedroom homes with two main styles. The Spruce, a single-level design, and the Cedar, a true Cape with two- to three-bedroom options. Each home offered a single-car attached garage, with the option for a detached garage nearby. What made this project especially exciting were not just the home designs, but the amenities that came with them. Landscaping, plowing, trash removal, play areas, picnic areas, open green space, a pond, and hiking trails, all designed for homeowners to enjoy and to create a true sense of community.

What began in August of 2024 with a simple phone call to the listing agent turned into an 18-month journey, filled with emails, planning, and teams working together to bring the project to life.

  • September 2024 – The first team meeting took place, bringing together realtors, marketing, bankers, owners, and designers, while cost estimates were still coming in.
  • December 2024 – The first conceptual development plans were discussed, and attorneys were brought in to move things forward.
  • October 2025 – Samples for the wide range of design selections were ordered, signage was created, and drone photography captured the property.
  • December 2025 – The sales office was set up in preparation for the first open house. During this time, the names Spruce (single-level) and Cedar (two-story) were finalized.
  • January 2026 – The Woodlands website was launched, final frontage designs were completed for listing sheets, open houses were scheduled, and the press release was published in the local newspaper.
