Puzzle Your Way Through a Corn Maze | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtyHot buttered corn on the cob is one of summer's delights, but by the time fall rolls around, corn takes its turn providing endless fun for people of all ages as fields of corn are turned into artistic mazes.

Wandering through a corn maze provides a family-friendly hour or more of exploration, with twists, turns and unique discoveries at various checkpoints on the way to the exit. Most corn mazes also add on nighttime events that are more appropriate for adults as there's a scare factor involved in creeping through a cornfield where the stalks reach high over your head, the wind is blowing and clouds cover the moon!

Before setting out, be sure to check out the website of the maze you are planning to visit for up-to-date info on dates, times and activities in addition to the maze, like hay rides and picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve your jack-o-lantern.

Fall Fun Around New Hampshire for 2025

Collins Farm Corn Maze - Bath, NH

Address: US-302, Bath, NH 03740

Collins Farm Corn Maze Bath NH | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtyA dragon, a knight in shining armor, a castle and a catapult are among the Medieval-themed highlights at the Collins Farm Corn Maze this fall.

"This year's maze is going to be very fun and challenging with an artistic aspect to it. This is not a typical find-the-exit maze," says maze designer Corey Collins. "There's always something to look at, facts, jokes, trivia, signage, and more." Along with wandering through the 13-acre maze in daylight, the farm offers flashlight and haunted flashlight evenings, for anyone who'd like to up the "eek" factor.

The Collins family raised dairy cows on the property before they sold the herd three years ago. Corey's parents operate a greenhouse and farmstand selling vegetables and flowers. He handles agri-tourism, the corn maze and foam parties.

One thing that makes this corn maze unique is that Collins free-hands the design, rather than relying on a GPS-guided system. Beginning with a hand drawn sketch, he plants the entire field with corn and then relies on the sketch as he plows the field to carve out the design.

This will be the Collins Farm's 8th year in the maze business, and Collins is proud to share that his mazes were twice voted #1 in the WMUR Viewers' Choice category. About 3,000 people visit in a typical season.

Opening day is Friday, August 15, with the closing date on Saturday, November 1, when Collins begins the setup of Christmas lights for the farm's Holiday Light Maze which runs from mid-November through the holidays.

The farm includes a pumpkin patch where visitors can pick out the perfect pumpkin, and visitors will find a variety of refreshments at the on-site food truck. Wagon and saddle horse rides are available on Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends.

Collins is also taking advantage of a new craze — foam parties in which people dance and frolic to music on a dance floor covered in foam bubbles that are created by a foam machine. Dance through mountains of foam during the daylight hours, or for a unique experience, dive into ultraviolet foam and black lights after sunset. Expect to get wet!

Moulton Farm - Meredith, NH

Address: 18 Quarry Road, Meredith, NH 03253

Moulton Farm - Meredith, NH  | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtyLike the Collins Farm in Bath, the team at the Moulton Farm designs their corn maze on paper in a process that's exacting and time-consuming but produces an amazing design each year. Check out their website for a detailed explanation of the process.

As of this writing, the design had yet to be chosen, but the almost 5-acre plot is expected to be turned into a "very family-friendly" maze, making it an especially nice destination for families with young children who might find a larger maze overwhelming.

Other activities at the Moulton Farm include pick your own pumpkin, tractor rides, music, animals to pet, and Moulton Farm's own food truck, farm bakery, farm market, and a special favorite—the Cider Bellie Doughnut Stand. Yankee Magazine has given the thumbs up to the Moulton Farm's whoopie pies, calling them "the best whoopie pies in New England."

The corn maze is generally open from the last weekend in September through the month of October.
