Where to Go for Local Produce This Summer Around NH | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtySummer means fresh berries. And if you want to find the freshest, most delicious berries, you need to get them right off the farm. Fortunately, there are plenty of farms near Plymouth homes for sale where you can get everything from strawberries to blueberries to raspberries and more. Here are a few of our favorite places to go for local summer berries.

  • Longview Farm - 175 Quincy Road, Plymouth, NH 03264
For fresh strawberries, head to Longview Farm. Farmers Nate and Regina grow a variety of fruits and vegetables on their 50-acre farm, including tomatoes, zucchini, basil, and sweet corn. But it's their delicious, ripe strawberries that will keep you coming back. Their website features a month-by-month growing schedule, allowing you to track which produce is available at various times of the year. Open daily in the summer from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the farm also offers tours for schools, clubs, and other groups at flexible rates.

  • Schartner Farms North - 3181 W. Side Road, North Conway, NH 03860
The strawberries at Schartner Farms North are dark red, juicy, and delicious. At their drive-thru stand, you can get a basket or a box, or, weather permitting, you can head into the field to pick your own! Located near North Conway homes for sale, they also have plenty of summer vegetables, including carrots and asparagus. And you have to try their homemade strawberry and strawberry rhubarb jams.

  • Highwater Farm - 51 River St., Bartlett, NH 03812
There are all sorts of delicious berries available at Highwater Farm, including strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. This year, however, they're instead operating out of the Mount Washington Valley Farmers' Market at the North Conway Community Center. You can also place a custom order online. Whatever you get and however you get it, the produce from Highwater Farm is not to be missed.

  • Meadowstone Farm - 809 Brook Road, Bethlehem, NH 03574
If you go to Meadowstone Farm in mid-July through mid-August, you can pick your own blueberries right off the bush. The farm, located near Bethlehem homes for sale prides itself on operating more like a family than a business, which means, in their words, "organized chaos." It also means they care deeply about their customers. You may experience a short wait, depending on when you visit, but they'll go out of their way to ensure you receive what you need and leave satisfied. In addition to blueberries, they also grow asparagus, plus fresh flowers you can also pick yourself. And they raise chickens for eggs, goats for cheese, and more. Open 365 days a year, the farm also offers free, self-guided tours during the spring, summer, and fall.
