  On June 1, the Colonial Theater will welcome Sophie B. Hawkins for an exciting one-night-only show. Hawkins' love for folk, rock, and pop music combines with her uncompromising artistic vision to create something truly unique. 
  
  Her debut album, Tongues and Tails, was released in 1992 and featured the hit song, "I Wish I Was Your Lover." Over the years, Hawkins would go on to pen many other hits, including "As I Lay Me Down." She will perform top hits like these and some of her personal favorites during her June show. The Colonial recently switched from a first-come-first-serve seating policy to a reserve seating system, so get your tickets early to make sure you get the best seats! • The Wedding Singer at the Weathervane Theatre from June 30 to August 18 – 389 Lancaster Road, Whitefield, NH 03598
  This summer, the Weathervane Theatre will be hosting a production of the musical comedy The Wedding Singer. Based on the 1998 Adam Sandler film of the same name, this show centers on wedding singer Robbie's turbulent love life, his series of misadventures, and his budding relationship with waitress Julia. Its music is inspired by unforgettable '80s pop hits, offering a nostalgic glimpse of this beloved decade. 
  
  There are many showings available during the nearly two months this production will be on stage. • The Secret Garden at NCCA's Jean's Playhouse from July 4 to 6 at 7:30 p.m.  – 34 Papermill Drive, Lincoln, NH 03251
  The award-winning company at Jean's Playhouse, part of the North Country Center for the Arts near these Lincoln homes for sale, is set to host an outdoor production of The Secret Garden for three days this summer. This musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic book tells the story of Mary Lennox, a young English orphan sent to live with relatives in Yorkshire and discovers the eponymous garden on the grounds of their manor home. 
  
  This optimistic story of rebirth and renewal is perfect for an outdoor setting. The Playhouse's outdoor venue has no seating available, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to set up on the lawn before the show begins. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance and include admission to a rain-date performance on July 7 if the weather interferes with the show. 
  
  
• The North Country Chamber Players at the Mountain View Grand Resort on August 4 at 4 p.m. - 101 Mountain View Road, Whitefield, NH 03598
  The North Country Chamber Players will be visiting the Mountain View Grand Resort on August 4 to perform their Summer Serenade concert setlist. During this performance, the players will showcase their incredible talents by bringing two classic instrumental serenades to life. 
  
  The show will begin with Brahms' "Serenade in D," a grand and stirring composition that showcases how the Romantics evolved the medium. Brahms' piece will be followed by Carl Nielsen's more light-hearted and humorous "Serenata in vano," a composition that portrays a competition between two players attempting to capture the attention of their object of affection. You can reserve your seat for free online and purchase a ticket at the door under a pay-what-you-wish model with a suggested price of $25.
