Find Antique Treasures This Fall in NH | Badger Peabody & Smith RealtyFall is the perfect season to go antiquing. You're probably looking for more indoor activities now that the weather has cooled off. Plus, you can gather some unique decor pieces to incorporate into your fall and winter decorating schemes. Luckily, the White Mountains region is home to a few amazing antique shops where you can find unique trinkets. Here are some top shops our real estate agents recommend visiting in the coming months. 

  • Boomerang: 5 Main St., Plymouth, NH 03264
    Boomerang
    is a consignment store with a great selection of antiques, vintage furniture, and what they call "funky stuff." Inside, the items are organized nicely. Many are displayed on tables or dressers as if they are in use. You'll find adorable signs to hang in a kitchen or pantry, painted dinnerware, upholstered chairs, and more.

    Boomerang also has a thrift room where they sell used apparel and items. Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Plymouth Area Community Closet, an organization that provides food, heat, and assistance to those in need. You can also purchase certain items from Boomerang online. They'll hold the items for you in-store for five days after purchase.

  • Purple Peacock: 49 Main St., Littleton, NH 03561
    Purple Peacock 
    sells a vast selection of unique antiques and collectibles. This quaint store is filled with treasures, from antique rocking horses to vintage signs. They also have a great selection of vintage lamps, chests, and shelving units. The store is open every day but Tuesday.

    This is a great antique store to visit if you're in the area looking at Littleton homes for sale. Plan on spending at least an hour in the store. Most items are reasonably priced, so you may end up with an armful, especially if you have a new home to decorate.

  • Just L Modern Antiques: 35 Main St., Littleton, NH 03561
    Just L Modern Antiques
    is another incredible antique store in Littleton. They specialize in Mid-Century Modern decor. You'll find all sorts of magnificent paintings and prints, many of which would serve as statement pieces in a dining room or living room. They also have some unique dinnerware and serving dishes, decorative lamps, and beautiful area rugs.

    Just L Modern Antiques also carries vintage wood furniture. You could pick up a piece or two to furnish your new home. They have some chests of drawers that would look wonderful in a stately bedroom, plus some shelving units that would hold a book collection in style.

  • Ladders Thrift - Bridge House: 16 Main St., Plymouth, NH 03264
    Ladders Thrift - Bridge House 
    is a thrift store that sells gently used goods and has a good selection of antiques and vintage items. They have an incredible selection of books, many of which are older, hardcover editions you can read and use as decor on your bookshelf. They also have flannels and felt clothing, which is lovely as the weather cools off.

    Ladders Thrift also has some unique items, such as old rotary phones, wall hangings, and shelving. They have a whole shelf of used fall decorations, which you can use to add seasonal character to your home.
