Spring is officially here, and our real estate agents are excited to get outside in the coming weeks. If you're looking for the perfect place for a peaceful stroll in the great outdoors, these are some of our favorite spring walks.
- Rainbow Falls - 47 Cummings Hill Rd., Plymouth, NH 03264
An easy hike with a charming 25-foot waterfall, the Rainbow Falls Trail in Walter/Newton Natural Area is a perfect spring hike. Located just minutes from these Plymouth homes for sale, the hike to the falls is just 1.2 miles out and back and includes minimal elevation gain. Spring is the best time to do this hike because Rainbow Falls will be at full flow. Be advised that even though this is an easy hike, it can be muddy this time of year, so good hiking boots are a must-have.
- Riverwalk Covered Bridge - 18 Mill St., Littleton, NH 03561
The Littleton Riverwalk offers a beautiful stroll in the heart of Littleton on the banks of the Ammonoosuc River. The Riverwalk includes two pedestrian bridge crossings: the 352-foot Riverwalk Covered Bridge and the Curran Suspension Bridge. Public parking is available on Mill Street, which is also convenient to many local shops and restaurants, as well as these Littleton homes for sale.
- Pemigewasset River Trail - Lincoln, NH 03251
Following the rocky banks of its namesake stream, the Pemigewasset River Trail is a charming river ramble that offers some great views over the course of a 2.1-mile out-and-back hike. Just a short drive from these Lincoln homes for sale, the trail is usually uncrowded, and most hikers complete it in under an hour.
- PSNH Smith Hydro Park - Berlin, NH 03570
Tucked away in the heart of Berlin, PSNH Smith Hydro Park is a picturesque park on a peninsula formed by the confluence of the Androscoggin and Dead rivers. Just footsteps away from downtown and these Berlin homes for sale, the park includes a network of riverside trails that offer expansive views of the White Mountains. Another highlight of the route is the ruins of an old paper mill along the river, though most of the area is densely vegetated and home to a variety of wildlife.
- Mount Willard Trail - Bretton Woods, NH 03575
The most challenging hike on this list, as well as the one that provides the most impressive views, the Mount Willard Trail is a beautiful trek through densely wooded mountains. The trailhead is located behind the Crawford Notch Railroad Station, just minutes from these Bretton Woods homes for sale. The 3.1-mile round-trip hike is considered moderately strenuous and culminates in an expansive vista across Crawford Notch to the mountain ranges beyond.
- Echo Lake Trail - Echo Lake Road, North Conway, NH 03860
Forming a 0.8-mile loop around its namesake lake, the Echo Lake Trail is an easy walk with beautiful scenery in Echo Lake State Park. The park is located a stone's throw from many North Conway homes for sale and offers fishing, kayaking, and peaceful lakeside picnic areas. The Echo Lake Trail departs from a clearly-marked trailhead and kiosk near the parking area and also connects with several additional trails that lead into nearby Cathedral Ledge State Park and White Mountain National Forest.
