While I've been out about town, both at the Post Office,
Squam Lake Market Place, and even in the evenings at
Walters Basin, I've been asked, "What's going on at Curry Place?" Many of you have seen the contractors/builders come and go and the many trucks and workers around the Curry Place buildings.
So, here's what's happening . . . the skyline of downtown Holderness is evolving. There is an addition being added onto the office building next to the Post Office next to our existing Holderness office. This office building will become the
Peabody & Smith Realty, Inc. new office space and we are very excited! It will also be office space for
First Line Medical and the
Plymouth Travel Agency.
Modern, updated, and more space. And you can still travel to the office by boat!
This all began last year when Curry Place was purchased, and renovations began almost immediately. It started with the "Curry House" which has now been revamped into two new apartments here in downtown Holderness. The main house is approximately 2000 sq. ft., has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a two-sided gas fireplace, and is fully furnished. Apartment B is cozier with approximately 754 sq. ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, a two-sided fireplace and is fully furnished as well. Both apartments are available for rent by the week in the summer or seasonally in the winter.
Stay tuned for updates . . . and to find out what will become of our old office space.
