2017 was a great year for Peabody & Smith Realty, and with that, we like to take a little time to celebrate our agents and staff and their accomplishments! This year we celebrated again at the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, NH on Saturday, January 20th. We enjoy recognizing the hard work of our agents and staff and sharing some of the professional accomplishments they had as well. Many achieved a number of Realtor designations and more! The day started with a seminar for our agents and staff with national known and sought after speaker, Adorna Carroll of Dynamic Directions. Adorna is a national real estate speaker and travels around the country delivering dynamic and engaging programs for real estate agents. She shared insight from her experiences as a broker, as well as ideas for the agents in their own careers. After Adorna's afternoon presentation, we enjoyed dinner in the Lake View room at the Indian Head Resort, and then shared a few highlights of the year, including:

• In 2017, we recorded grand total, gross sales in excess of $135 million dollars, according to statistics from the Northern New England Real Estate Network. (Based on data from the New England Real Estate Network, grand total gross sales, NH & VT, all categories for time period 1/1/2017-12/31/2017.)
• 239,791 visitors came to our website from 157 countries.
• We distributed over $37,000 to area organizations including: AHEAD, Ammonoosuc Community Health, Boys and Girls Club of the North Country, Area Chambers of Commerce Fundraising Activities, Franconia Ski Club, Holderness Historical Society, Littleton Regional Healthcare, Pemi Baker Community Health, Speare Memorial Hospital, Squam Lakes Association, Weathervane Theatre & Many More!

At the end of the award ceremony, we awarded the "Peabody & Smith Realty Residential Sales Associate of 2017". The award was presented to Beth Horan. Beth has been with the firm for almost 20 years and works in the Franconia office and services clients and customers in the North Country. (5 is the highest you can get on our surveys and sometimes clients and customers write in higher numbers.) Silver Level Sales Achievement: Tiffany Howard, Charles Crannell, Joy Moore, Patty O'Brien, Mary Truell, Angela Spencer, Carol Kerivan, Anne Foss, Mary Dragon, Steve Gorman, Carmen Burns, Linda Matheson, Ray Newton, Deb Engelhardt, Tom Carstens, Jerry Love. Platinum Level Sales Achievement: Beth Horan Above and Beyond Award: We took an opportunity this year to recognize a staff member who truly went, "above and beyond" each day. We recognized Jude Ruhm from our Holderness office. Jude contributed so much of her work time and personal time to the rental department this year, working to ensure a strong guest and owner experience for all involved. She truly went "above and beyond" and we were pleased to recognize the efforts she made all year. Joy has worked at Peabody & Smith for 25 years and was one of the first agents to join Peabody & Smith after the firm was founded by Andy Smith and Jere Peabody. Andy gave a heartfelt speech about the years he and Joy have spent together, as they have watched their kids grow up, and how they worked together in the "early days" renting apartments, homes and selling homes. Joy continues to work out of the Littleton office, and it's a rare day that she is not in the office! If she's not in, she's probably out showing homes in Northern NH and Vermont!
