After a busy week of running around from showings and making calls to our customers, employees of Peabody & Smith Realty need a way to slow down and laugh!
So this is what we do……
3-2-1-GO! Time to unwind!
We go ski race in our backyard, the White Mountains! After all, what are we doing up here if we can't enjoy and laugh with each other at the end of the week.
It usually goes like this: We group up to car pool from all of our offices to make the trek to
Bretton Woods every Friday night of the winter. We meet up at the lodge, "boot up" and put on all our ski wear. Of course, as we do this, we talk business, though with a lighter note to it. We also make light of the chaos of week and realize that a cold drink, food and a night of skiing will resolve all our problems (at least for a few hours).
And what a view! Every night we head up, it's a new look to the Mt. Washington range and was it ever beautiful this last Friday night. We ski down to the race start and make an honest attempt to best each other!
Aaron Woods, after helping at a race course all day at
Cannon Mountain showed up to ski AGAIN, and beat all of us on his Telemark skiis!
Our fearless leader,
Andy Smith, was so busy making turns in the fresh snow that he skied right past the starting gate and got an ear full of heckling from his staff! We aren't the best racers, but we sure do make up for it the rest of the week winning the race to give the best service we can for our customers.
That's it for this week, and here is the proof that we work hard and play hard!
