This epic home-building journey started back in July, with the first installation: "Building a New Home in Ledgewood". If you're just joining us, I encourage you to take a moment and see how far things have really come since Summer 2016. It's crazy how quickly things can change in a short period of time! (Yes this was in September, if you want to see where it is now, we would love to share with you) You can now see the walkout basement has been framed and It's exciting to see this project really start to take shape. A rock retaining wall has also been built along the garage. They used the rocks from the site to incorporate into the landscape. As I mentioned before, the property has been appropriately named Rockwood (read Ch. 2: What's in a Name?). The rocks are a natural part of the landscape and in my opinion help to keep the home site looking like the house is just naturally nestled into the land. The finished project should look like it's always been here. Even on a mostly cloudy gray day, the beauty at this home site is breathtaking! Wait until you see it in full fall glory.
