Here's the latest update on this great home being built in Ledgewood, in Twin Mountain, NH. [caption id="attachment_3861" align="aligncenter" width="576"]Rockwood's foundation has been laid and now the team is waiting for electricity to the site. Rockwood's foundation has been laid and here is the electrical folks installing the power! The foundation is poured and ready to cure, so the next step is to bring in electric. Having electricity on a job site makes things go much faster and certainly quieter than generators running to operate the necessary power tools.[/caption] But as you can see from the pictures the forms are in place and cement is being poured. Things are really starting to take shape.  And what you see so far in these series of pictures has taken weeks to get in place. Lots of prep work and care has brought the project to this stage.   With many variables like rain, wind and humidity - knowledge and patience make all the difference. I've enjoyed hearing the stories from the job site about seeing animal tracks through the lot. Even they are curious! They've seen tracks from turkeys, moose, deer & bear. There's even a mating pair of bobcats that have been seen around the Ledgewood site. [caption id="attachment_3862" align="aligncenter" width="889"]Moose track in New Hampshire At least one moose has visited the Rockwood construction site as you can see from the hoof print.[/caption] I even saw a bear while trying to capture the perfect lupine pictures. Needless to say, I made sure to talk to myself, the bear and made my way back to my car and left it alone. But, I wish I had been able to get a picture of that! Luckily, I was able to capture a few pictures of a family of turkeys . In fact, the NH Fish & Game Department ask the public to help report the turkey chicks we see so they can have a better idea of the turkey population in and around the state. There are 7 chicks in the picture below--can you find them?
