elspeth richardson deskI work in the Franconia office and my desk is one of the first things you see when you walk into the office! I try to keep it as tidy and neat as possible, which can be a daunting task in its self at times. Most of the items on my desk either help me day to day or hold special meaning to me. The items that help me with my job daily are my "to do list", my ergonomically styled keyboard, and my calendar. The calendar also has special meaning – it has been a tradition that has been passed down from my Grandmother, who was very near and dear to me.  When I was younger each of my mom's siblings would get this wonderful calendar for Christmas from my sweet Mimi. The calendar is created and distributed by the Massachusetts Audubon Society. When she passed away, my mom picked up the tradition. It is one of the best gifts to open each and every year! The photos and drawings all represent things that I love and are special to me. The photos include my basset hound Beckham, a photo of Pochet Beach in Orleans, MA, and my sweet boyfriend with his dog. I am never without a BIG glass of water, a Sharpie marker of varying colors, and my glasses. The items on my desk are not the only things that get my through a day at Peabody & Smith. I am lucky enough to work with wonderful, kind and hardworking people. We are a family here, we love to laugh and care greatly about one another!
