Sometimes in real estate, agents and staff take on a number of different roles. Sometimes they take on the role of counselor, cleaner, stager, photographer, chauffeur – the list can go on and on – and we don't mind! But most recently, in our Franconia office, it took an agent and 2 staff members and they took on a new role – that of Animal Rescuer!

We won't get into the situation and how it may have occurred, but Beth Horan discovered this sweet black and white feline who kept returning to an area home – unfortunately no one was there to care for her anymore. Beth Horan asked around the neighborhood and learned the cat appeared to be homeless. Beth immediately put out an internal email to everyone at our firm to see if there was anyone who may be looking to take in a furry creature at least for the night because the temperatures were finally going to drop. If that didn't work, she was going to call one of our wonderful local shelters for assistance.

Luckily, Katy Soukup in our Franconia office remembered that Lisa Francois, in the same office, indeed was interested in adopting a cat. Katy ran downstairs, asked Lisa if she wanted to meet the homeless kitty and they left in the sleet and freezing rain to complete the rescue. This friendly cat literally walked right into Lisa arms. They all returned to the office, where the kitty didn't want to leave Lisa's lap.  Later that evening this little beauty went to her new home at Lisa's. There, she was named, "Daphne" and met her new Golden Labrador brother, Buddy. We are pleased to report that Daphne and Buddy are getting along great, and Daphne is very happy in her new home.

We are so proud of our staff and agents for always going above and beyond, whether it's to help a client or customer, or a furry friend who needs some assistance! Thank you Beth, Katy and Lisa! Daphne now has a home she deserves!

**Editor's Note: As an update to this story, Daphne went to the Vet the other day, and "she" is a "he". Daphne has been renamed, "Mister Peabody"!
