Welcome to fall, it's a wonderful time of year here in New Hampshire! With so many fun outdoor activities and amazing colors that change before our eyes, we are lucky to call this place "home". We thought we would ask one of our agents, what are some of the fun things you think folks would like to do and where they might be located.

Here are some suggested fall activities from our own, Tiffany Howard!

The colors are changing, the crispness in the air, and the smell of pumpkin-flavored coffee, but my favorite thing about being up here is the Littleton Harvest Festival and the Gathering of the Jack-O-Lanterns. This marks the 5th anniversary of the festival. The festival starts Friday, October 23rd and ends Sunday October 25th.  On Friday night, bring your imagination & carving tools and head down to Littleton Bikes & Fitness to help prepare pumpkins for the Gathering of the Jack-O-Lanterns Saturday night. Saturday is full of events! Make sure you have comfortable shoes. The events kick off at 10am up at the High School for all of the little guys: K-6. They will have magic tricks, balloon animals, donuts, cider and of course…pumpkin carving!!! Next, you can head down to Main St. for a little Trick-or-Treating from 2-4pm. All of the local businesses open their doors up to all the ghosts and goblins. Then it's time littleton harvest festivalfor The Gathering of the Pumpkins!!!! Take the covered bridge down to the river walk around dusk to see a one-of-a-kind event.   The river and surrounding area is COVERED in jack-o-lanterns. The goal every year is to have at least 500 pumpkins. You can find traditionally carved pumpkins as well as very unique ones. It is truly a must-see event. Be careful not to make a wrong turn off of the covered bridge or you just might end up in the haunted forest! Don't let your little ones enter the forest alone! If you see a group of zombies, don't be too afraid. They may break out into a Flash Mob. Last year they did Michael Jackson's Thriller. Sunday, wake up early and head back down to the River Walk for an autumn breakfast buffet at the Senior Center. The last event of the weekend is new to the festival this year. It's the first ever Pumpkin Catapult, where they will be LAUNCHING the left over pumpkins from Saturday night. This is going to be interesting to say the least. Oh, did I mention that all of this is FREE!!! littleton harvest festivalAs you can see there are so many reasons to love this event. It was the very first thing we did as a family when we moved here almost two years ago to the day. My kids were so excited to see the pumpkins "floating" on the river. I still remember the look in their eyes. It was pure magic to them. I felt like a little kid all over again with them. This has become a family tradition that we look forward to every year. I hope you can take some time to experience the Littleton Harvest Festival. And who knows, maybe it will become a tradition of your own. Happy Harvest!
