Welcome to fall, it's a wonderful time of year here in New Hampshire! With so many fun outdoor activities and amazing colors that change before our eyes, we are lucky to call this place "home". We thought we would ask one of our agents, what are some of the fun things you think folks would like to do and where they might be located.

Here are some suggested fall activities from our own, Anne Foss!

  • Drive along the Kancamagus Highway(Route 112 from Lincoln to No. Conway) where you will find beautiful scenery and several areas to park, take it all in, have a picnic, etc.
  • Go apple picking at Windy Ridge Orchard on Route 116 in North Haverhill, NH. There they have a café and wonderful cider doughnuts.
  • Have breakfast at Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill, NH. A well known restaurant with new enlarged facility.
And if you like outdoor experiences: [caption id="attachment_3243" align="alignright" width="200"]corn maze The Great Vermont Corn Maze[/caption]
  • Take some hikes: Coppermine trail to Bridal Veil Falls in Franconia
  • Take a walk around Echo Lake in Franconia Notch
  • Take the Aerial Tramway up Cannon Mountain for spectacular views
  • Take a glider ride at the Franconia Airport. Fantastic scenery from above.
  • Walk or bike along the Franconia Notch Bike Path
  • Paddle down the Connecticut River. Put in your floatation device below Moore Dam, which is approximately 8 miles of quiet water to Comerford Dam. (Of course you don't have to go all the way).
  • Go to the Great Vermont Maze in Danville, Vt - 10 acres of fun, corn maze, barnyard animals and barnyard golf.
  • Farmers Markets where locally grown produce can be purchased (usually on the weekends).
  • Take in the Local Museums full of interesting history. Ex. The Sugar Hill Historical Museum has a photographic exhibit called "Flash Back" and are open until October 14th.
Enjoy the Fall in New Hampshire! It's a great time!   Read more about Anne Foss here
