Welcome to fall, it's a wonderful time of year here in New Hampshire! With so many fun outdoor activities and amazing colors that change before our eyes, we are lucky to call this place "home". We thought we'd ask one of our agents, what are some of the fun things that you like to do? Where are they? How much does it cost?

Nikki Barrett tells us more!

For the active folks out there, take the short hikes up Bald Knob and Artist Bluff in Franconia Notch to catch breathtaking views North and South.  Pack a picnic to eat at the top while you take in the sights.  Both hikes start at the trailhead just across from Cannon Mountain Ski Area Lodge.  These hikes are family friendly and can be enjoyed by all ages and pets, too! I'm born and raised in the 603 and Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of year.  I still go leaf peeping each season and the sights never cease to amaze me.  I promise you'll say "wow" at least once on this trip!  Gas up and go…Start in Littleton and travel south on Route 302 through the quaint towns of Lisbon and Landaff. As you enter Bath, take a left onto Route 112 East.  Follow all the way through and you'll end in Lincoln, NH.  I'd recommend planning this trip around lunch and dinner, but that's just me – I love to eat!  Hit up The Woodstock Station or Truant's Taverne in Woodstock or head through Lincoln center and dine at Gordi's Fish & Steak House or the always popular Common Man Restaurant. From Lincoln you have to pick your path … travel North on I-93 through Franconia Notch State Park – maybe even take a trip to The Basin along the way – you can cut the tour short and head right back to Littleton or meander on Route 3 North as you exit the Notch to Bretton Woods and The Omni Mount Washington Hotel. [caption id="attachment_3226" align="alignright" width="300"]kancamagus highway in the fall The Kancamagus Highway in the fall[/caption] If you're up for a bit longer ride (this would be my recommendation for sure!), when you leave Lincoln, travel over the Kancamagus Highway to Conway Village.  The sights are beautiful and you might even see some wildlife, too!  You can shop at the outlets if you feel the urge, but I would take a break at Moat Mountain, myself! When you're finished in this area, head North through Crawford Notch for more beautiful views!  You'll travel past the Mount Washington Hotel from here as well and will stroll through the small town of Bethlehem.  If you're hungry, stop in at Rosa Flamingo's for a bite to eat (I recommend the wings and pizza!) You'll follow the river and drive through the woods.  Plenty of places to pull off and stretch your legs and take photos along the way!  Bring chargers for your phones if that is your camera – you won't want to miss any of this!
