We are pleased to bring a new feature to our blog, a chat with one of our current sellers in Rumney, NH. Our homeowners at Stinson Lake, at 93 Cross Road in Rumney, NH have owned their home for many years, and now offer this incredible home with 75' of frontage on a gorgeous deep mountain lake, with a private dock, boat house and two car garage/carriage house to you.
To get a sense of what is like to live in Rumney, NH we asked a few questions:
P&S: At this time, you feel the time is right to leave the beautiful Stinson Lake community. What led you to this decision?
Sellers: We have grown older, our family and most of our friends no longer make the trip to the lake.
P&S: Why is it great to live in the Stinson Lake Community? What did you enjoy about the Stinson Lake Community?

Sellers: It is active year round. In the summer there is swimming, fishing, boating, hiking and water skiing. In the fall the foliage is beautiful. The winter brings snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing with lots of bob houses (the fishing is great), ice skating and ice hockey. Planes land and take off from the lake during the winter months as well.
In terms of the town, Rumney and Stinson Lake is just 12 miles from
Plymouth, NH and located on a well maintained year round highway.
Rumney takes good care of winter snow removal. We have never been snowed in!
We love the mountains, lake and natural beauty of the area. There is a close bond with the local wildlife. Deer, moose, bear and loons are frequent visitors.
There are several wonderful fireworks displays year round but especially over major weekends. Flares line the shores and the show is tremendous and long lasting.
In addition, this is a great area for hiking, rock climbing, there are trail heads everywhere.
Rumney Rocks are known worldwide for their climbing.

P&S: Where do you shop and dine in Stinson Lake community and why do you enjoy those places?
Sellers: We shop and dine in a 60 mile radius. There are several local restaurants in Rumney and Plymouth that are very nice. Franconia Notch is close by and camp sites are everywhere in the area.
P&S: What did you look forward to the most when you came to your home?

Sellers: Our home has beautiful views from every window and there are many windows.
P&S: What cultural events and other types of events can you recommend to people coming into the community?
Sellers:
Plymouth State University is the cultural and activity center of the area.
P&S: What events brought you the most pleasure?
Sellers: We love being on the lake. We enjoy all the activities associated with it. People coming here to live love the outdoors and lake side living. Bring your kayak and a fishing rod.
