We thought we'd ask a few probing questions each week of our agents. This one is with Carmen Burns, who works out of our Plymouth office. Our roving reporter Elspeth asked the questions:
What is your favorite restaurant in the area? Depends on what I want to eat! For great fajitas served in a hot sizzling pan at your table…..
the Lucky Dog in Plymouth wins. Italian in a nice cozy atmosphere, go to the
Italian Farmhouse. In the mood for something more refined, try
Six Burner Bistro and finally if you want a totally decadent breakfast, try the raspberry and cream cheese stuffed French Toast at
the Sugar Shack in Thornton! Mmmmm.
Favorite board game? Good old fashioned Monopoly.
The person that influenced you the most? Hard to choose just one here. My mom was smart and quiet, could do most anything, learned not to be afraid of a challenge from her. My dad is outgoing and loves to meet new people, taught me to enjoy making new relationships. Last but not least, my hubby who has taught me all about nature (birds, animals and their tracks, trees, fish to name some), which has fostered an enjoyment of the beauty that surrounds us in New Hampshire.
What are you most proud of? That we raised two, great, law abiding kids, who in turn have given us four grandchildren (who are also law-abiding so far)!
What is your favorite thing to cook? Dessert, and then I like to eat it.
Favorite family tradition? Taking our grandchildren to
Wellington State Park on Newfound Lake every summer.
What is your favorite winter activity? Getting outdoors on snowshoes if it's a beautiful, blue sky, sunny day.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I LOVE to ride motorcycles with my husband. I also enjoy fiber art.
Do you have pets at home? What are they? What are their names? We have a platinum point Tonkinese cat named Quincy and an apricot miniature poodle named Huggins. Huggins likes to come to work and take control of the office, but he especially likes walking land with me and getting all wet and dirty.
