Our homeowners at 19 Red Lodge Road have owned their home for many years, and now offer to you, this summer/winter camp on Squam Lake. To get a sense of what is like to live in Holderness, NH we asked a few questions: P&S: At this time, you feel the time is right to leave the beautiful "Golden Pond" community. What led you to this decision? Sellers: The property is being sold as an estate sale. P&S: Why is it great to live in the Squam Lake area? What did you enjoy about the area? [caption id="attachment_2707" align="alignright" width="300"]squam lake home View of Squam Lake from the deck[/caption] Sellers: Living on Squam Lake is an experience which will be remembered for a lifetime. The water is relaxing and healing. Our family has been coming to Squam for five generations so there must be something that calls us to return year after year. P&S: Where do you shop and dine in the community and why do you enjoy those places? Sellers: We shop in either Plymouth or Tilton, NH and dine out in Holderness and Ashland. P&S: What did you look forward to the most when you came to your home on Squam Lake? Sellers: Relaxing and enjoying the tranquility and unique nature of camp at Owl's Nest. P&S: What cultural events and other types of events can you recommend to people coming into the community? [caption id="attachment_2708" align="alignright" width="300"]squam lake home Living room[/caption] Sellers: The town of Holderness has several cultural events throughout the summer. You can go to the beach at the town beach or become a member of the Squam Lakes Association. The library in Holderness is excellent. Attending church services on Chocorua (Church) Island is a unique experience. Jump off the rock in Rattlesnake Cove, watch the loons or view bald eagles as they nest and raise their chicks. P&S: What events brought you the most pleasure? Sellers: I have been coming to the lake for 67 years, every day I have spent here has been a pleasure. The golden glow of a sunrise shining off the lake and streaming through the windows is a perfect way to start a day. P&S: What tips would you give to new people coming into the community? [caption id="attachment_2709" align="alignright" width="300"]squam lake home Sunset on Squam Lake[/caption] Sellers: We have the best caretaker in the town who knows the camp intimately. I would suggest continuing that relationship. P&S: What were the favorite features of your home? What did you enjoy the most? Sellers: The peace and quiet and tranquility of Squam Lake.
