Our commercial department had a busy 2013, and at the end of the year, they sold a  large commercial office complex on Cottage Street in Littleton . The building, known as Mt. Eustis Commons, located at 260-262 Cottage Street was sold to AHEAD, Inc., a non-profit organization. AHEAD states their mission as, "to be the premier provider of quality affordable rental housing, financial education, and homeownership opportunities in northern New Hampshire." This multi tenanted professional office building contains 63,000 square feet. More than a decade ago, the building was formerly used as the local hospital. After the hospital moved to their new state of the art facility, the building later was made into two condo units. Currently the other part of complex is home to the Beattie House, an affordable housing complex for seniors owned by AHEAD. For AHEAD, owning this property will allow their growing organization more office space and will greatly reduce their overhead costs, and allow them to deliver their services more efficiently. We have always been proud supporters of AHEAD and their mission and are so pleased to learn that they have grown from 7 full-time employees to 26. For our communities, the work that AHEAD does on a number of levels is important for so many folks and their service area has grown to include our far northern areas of New Hampshire, to the south in the greater Plymouth NH area. Our Commercial Brokers Andy Smith, CCIM and Mary Doherty based in Franconia, NH represented the seller and assisted the buyers in this transaction. Our Commercial department consists of 3 Broker/Sales Associates. We focus on the sale and lease of commercial properties throughout New Hampshire and also specialize in business brokerage throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
