33 Chandler Hill Rd., Campton, NH, 03223

We are pleased to bring a new feature to our blog, a chat with one of our current sellers at
33 Chandler Hill Rd. in Campton, NH. Our homeowners have shared with us some of the best things they enjoyed about their home, in Campton NH and their love for the Central NH area.
To get a sense of what it is like to live in Campton, we asked a few questions:
P&S: At this time, you feel the time is right to leave the beautiful Campton community. What led you to this decision?
Deb: This was our weekend getaway, and when I had a change in employment, my commute during the week was extended. In addition, with added job responsibilities including staying local on the weekends in case of an emergency, we were unable to come up as much as we wanted.
P&S: Why is it great to live Campton? What did you enjoy about the Central New Hampshire area.
Deb: For us, the area was all about the beautiful mountain scenery and the solitude we were given there. We loved the ability to be in a country setting and close to nature and all that it offers.

P&S: Where do you shop and dine in Campton community and why do you enjoy those places?
Deb: We loved the access to
great tax-free shopping in Tilton and beyond! In terms of dining, we enjoyed eating at any of the
Common Man family of restaurants which are close by and we enjoyed eating at a number of different places in Waterville Valley. In addition,
Hart's Turkey Farm in the Lakes Region was also a favorite, and just a short drive from our home in Campton.
P&S: What did you look forward to the most when you came to your home in Campton?
Deb: Well it was a great place to really unwind after a busy week and way from traffic and the hustle and bustle of a busy commute. It was a great place to recharge, and get ready for the week ahead. In addition, we love the great skiing at
Waterville Valley , which is just 20 minutes away from our home in Campton. Plus we loved that we could also take in a short hike in the White Mountain National Forest , and just stroll through the apple orchard at our home.
In terms of other things we loved about coming up, we enjoyed listening to the babbling brook on the property, seeing these glorious mountain views and just getting away for peace, privacy and tranquility the property gave to us.
P&S: What cultural events and other types of events can you recommend to people coming into the community?
Deb:The fireworks on the 4th of July at Waterville Valley were great! And on Fridays when we would arrive in the spring and summer, we loved the
Campton Farmer's Market, that was open in the afternoon!
P&S: What events brought you the most pleasure?
Deb: It was always a pleasure to hit the Factory Outlets in Tilton on the way up! (Tax Free NH!) And the opportunities to hit the trail on foot or on a bike, the chances to ski at a number of local mountain including Waterville, Loon , and Cannon Mountain were always a draw! In terms of our home, just being able to sit on the deck and see mountain views, the apple orchard, the deer, moose and the occasional bear brought us lots of enjoyment. We just loved the wildlife and the brook in the spring – with the windows open you could hear the water in the brook, which was so peaceful and relaxing and was a great way to start thinking about spring and summer fun.
P&S: What tips would you give to new people coming into the community?
Deb: I think its important for people to know that whether you are going to live here full time, or part time as a second home, don't think there isn't anything to do. For us, we realized, you could be as busy as you wanted, or you could just lounge around and relax for days. There are so many activities and attractions like the
Polar Caves ,
Santa's Village ,
Story Land , and cultural events at the Silver
Center for the Arts in Plymouth and a whole local music scene, the Lakes Region close by - so really the choice is up to each individual in terms of how busy, or how quiet they choose to spend their time.
P&S: What were the favorite features of your home? What did you enjoy the most?
Deb: We could go on and on with this topic, but really we loved the mountain views, the brook, the beauty of the apple orchards and seeing the apple blossoms in the spring and all the wildflowers that grow all over the property. In addition, being able to watch the sunrise from the bedroom, was just beautiful. That's not an opportunity you find every day but it's the case in this home. With the vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom, and the number of windows in the home, the home has so much natural light and the balconies are great for that morning cup of coffee.
On a convenience level, the first floor bedroom was very convenient, as well as having a laundry center on the same floor. The finished basement with pool table really allows for friends and family to gather there and make memories!
All in all, this is a great house, in a lovely private setting in Campton – whether its used for full time living, or as a second home, it's a wonderful place to call "home"!
