The last week has been very busy here at the offices due to a number of factors, including the fact that we have some great news to announce, on the company front! Andy Smith, our Broker/Owner, has had the pleasure of getting to know Jack & Dana Armstrong for many years now and now all of us are getting the pleasure of meeting all of the folks at New Hampshire Colonials because we are now all affiliated together! The history of New Hampshire Colonials is fascinating, because in 1932, New Hampshire Colonials was started by a woman – Jack Armstrong's mom. (Imagine that – a woman starting a business in 1932!) This pioneering young women started NH Colonials on Squam Lake in Holderness, NH. Then, sixty plus years later, Peabody & Smith Realty was created inFranconiaNH. Both of these firms shared a vision of independent/family ownership, and an uncompromising level of quality service to real estate buyers and sellers. Now these two well known firms have joined together. For the last 31 years, New Hampshire Colonials has been led by Jack and Dana Armstrong. Jack & Dana and their team have assisted sellers all over the Lakes Region and Central New Hampshire area, with a specialized niche onSquamLake. Often times, buyers had the pleasure of viewing theseSquamLake homes by boat with Jack Armstrong at the helm. (And guess what, they still can!) With the merger, those buyers can still view properties from the water, and this partnership will further assist SquamLakebuyers and sellers with a global marketing presence through our affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International. In addition, for both of our firms, it's an opportunity to join forces with each other as independently owned real estate companies that are known for attention to detail, and an affinity for providing exceptional service to both the seller and the buyer. Our team at New Hampshire Colonials will maintain their office at Curry Place in Holderness, with their boat slip at the ready. In addition, Jack and Dana will still be involved overseeing operations and assisting their clients, as will the other New Hampshire Colonials agents. Their efforts will also be complemented by the agents at our Peabody & Smith Plymouth office, currently located at 85 Main Street. (more on that another time!) So it's a happy day at New Hampshire Colonials, and Peabody & Smith Realty! Welcome to the family New Hampshire Colonials! You can download a full press release here.
