I awoke to find a fine snow on my car, which when I opened the door and heard the wonderful hum of the snow guns, realized was the over spray from the ski area, and not just a heavy frost.
It won't be long now before we are out on the slopes! Traditionally the ski area has opened Thanksgiving weekend, however, this year they are hoping to open mid-November, providing Mother Nature cooperates with temperatures.

The first Riverglen Challenge, a 5 mile race for both walkers and runners, and a 2 mile fun walk was held this past Saturday at the Riverglen House in Littleton, NH. The day was perfect and although the weather forecast had called for rain, it held off for the entire event. There were several multi generational teams of walkers, including one with walkers from age 8 to age 87! The oldest racer to not only to compete in the event, but to complete the 5 mile walk is turning 90!!! When she approached me and asked if she was the only one walking with a walking stick (and it was NOT a cane), I had no idea that she was that old! She looked absolutely fantastic. Just on my way home the other day, I caught a glimpse of this beautiful rainbow. Having my camera with me at all times, I pulled over and took a picture. The rainbow seemed to end just over the Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods, which got me to thinking that Bretton Woods truly is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
