Miller Alpine Resort Thanks to Baron Hubert von Pantz from Schloss Mittersill Austria in 1946 for having the vision to create a little-Austria village in the beautiful mountains of New Hampshire in the town of Franconia. The Mittersill Alpine ski experience was born, and years of skiing ensued and the history of Mittersill during that time is fascinating! Skiing continued until the winters of 1980 and 1981; which were poor winters for ski areas, and Mittersill was affected financially. At this time the area had been operated by the Franconia Development Co. and the ski area ws forced to close in 1984.  In 1989 the Special Use Permit from the Forest Service ended, and  the ski area lands...

I had the recent pleasure of visiting this great house we have for sale in Franconia NH the other day, and what a pleasure it was. 1-35 It's not everyday that you get to see antiques that have been repurposed and giving new life, and what a thrill to see that! This custom built home, is located on Old County Road in Franconia, NH. This is one of the sought after neighborhoods in the area. But in this home, the owners had such great stories to tell of how they cleaned all of the door knobs that were in the house, antique doorknobs that they picked up locally in
