The park, which is located in Coos County, was created in 1935. It is "shared" by both Dalton and Whitefield and is open to the public for their recreation. The Park is made up of 396 acres with a water surface of 196 acres, it is a shimmering freshwater lake with an average depth of 10 feet. You can be on the lake and the surface literally looks like glass. The lake can be explored by boat, canoe or my personal favorite is by kayak.
